Yetis Sweep Forsyth Tech in Gritty Home Victory
The Cleveland Community College volleyball team defended their home court on September 23, sweeping Forsyth Tech in three competitive sets (25–22, 26–24, 25–22). Every frame came down to the wire, but the Yetis held their composure in the clutch moments to earn the Region 10 win.
Sara Rose Warlick was a force at the net, finishing with 11 kills to lead all attackers. Ariann Hernandez added 9 kills and chipped in a service ace for 10.5 total points, while Janiyah Giddens provided a spark in the middle with 5 kills and a .333 efficiency.
On the defensive side, Kaitlyn Clutter anchored the back row with an impressive 21 digs, while setter Addison Beaver contributed 18 assists and 14 digs in a strong all-around performance. London Brown was also key for Cleveland, tallying 5 kills, 15 digs, and 3 service aces to keep pressure on Forsyth Tech throughout the night.
The Yetis also controlled the net defensively, combining for 12 block assists led by Corinne Cutter and Brown.
With the win, Cleveland showcased depth and resilience, proving they could finish tight sets and feed off the energy of playing at home.
