Yetis Post Season-Best Times at Spartan Classic
The Cleveland Community College Yetis Cross Country team turned in a strong performance at the UNC Greensboro Spartan Classic on Friday, October 3. Competing against a competitive NCAA field, the Yetis were the only JUCO program in the race but still finished 10th out of 12 teams.
Brayden Rushing led the way for the Yetis with a 41st-place finish, clocking a season-best time in the men's 8K race. Close behind was teammate Eli Stroud, who also ran his fastest 8K of the season and finished 53rd overall. On the women's side, Alisa Powe continued her steady improvement, earning a season-best time over the 5K course and placing 97th.
The Yetis will look to carry their momentum into their next meet at the Royals Cross Country Challenge in Charlotte on October 10.
