Yetis Split in Weekend Home Series

In a series of volleyball matches held at Cleveland Community College last weekend, the Yetis faced off against Southwest Virginia, Bryant & Stratton College, and Richard Bland College.

In the first match between Southwest Virginia and Cleveland on October 4, 2024, the Yetis emerged victorious with a 3-0 win. Southwest Virginia struggled with their attack, serving, and blocking, resulting in a final score of 20-25, 12-25, 19-25 in favor of Cleveland. Cleveland dominated the match with strong performances from players like Aziyah Rudisill, who had 12 kills, and Sara Rose Warlick, who contributed 9 kills. Kassie Swink also played a key role with 7 kills and 19 assists. 
On the other side, Southwest Virginia struggled to find their rhythm, with only 13 total kills as a team. Jayci Bowers led the team with 3 kills and 12 assists, but it was not enough to overcome Cleveland Community's strong offense.

The following day, October 5, 2024, Cleveland continued their winning streak by defeating Bryant & Stratton in another 3-0 victory. Cleveland dominated the match with strong performances from players like Kassie Swink with 6 kills and 12 assists, and Aziyah Rudisill with 10 kills, leading to a final score of 25-12, 25-15, 25-15. Bryant & Stratton struggled to match Cleveland's attack and serving prowess. Cleveland dominated the match with strong performances from multiple players. Their serving was particularly effective, with a total of 18 service aces.

However, in the final match of the series, Richard Bland College showcased their skills by defeating Cleveland in a 3-0 sweep. Richard Bland's strong attack and serving game resulted in a final score of 25-17, 25-21, 25-20. Players like Gabrielle Meador and Taelin Connolley led the charge for Richard Bland, securing a decisive victory.
