Volleyball splits at Cape Fear Game Series

In a thrilling match between Fayetteville Tech and Cleveland Community College on September 28, 2024, Cleveland emerged victorious with a 3-1 win. The match was closely contested, with Fayetteville Tech taking the first set 33-31, but Cleveland Community fought back to win the next three sets 25-15, 27-25, and 25-11.

Cleveland's Taija Smith led the team with 14 kills, while Sara Rose Warlick contributed 17 kills. Kassie Swink also played a key role with 27 assists. On the other side, Fayetteville Tech Co's Rosa Harris had a strong performance with 11 kills.

In another match on the same day, Cleveland faced off against Cape Fear Community College and unfortunately fell short, losing in straight sets 28-26, 25-22, 25-21. Despite the loss, Aziyah Rudisill led Cleveland Community with 11 kills, while Taija Smith added 8 kills.

Overall, it was a competitive day of volleyball with Cleveland showing resilience and determination in both matches.
