Yetis Clamp Down in Second Half to Roll Past Fayetteville Tech
On November 21, the Yetis turned a tight first half into a blowout, using a huge third quarter to pull away for an 85–58 win over Fayetteville Technical CC at home.
Trailing 17–14 after the first quarter, Cleveland responded with a 26–14 second frame to take control, then completely broke the game open with a 24–4 third quarter. From there, the Yetis controlled the tempo on both ends, turning defense into offense and never allowing Fayetteville Tech to recover.
Jada Whitesides led the charge with 22 points, knocking down four threes and living at the free-throw line. Her perimeter shooting stretched the defense and helped ignite the second- and third-quarter runs.
Point guard Kari Lee nearly posted a double-double, finishing with 11 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 5 steals while running the offense and setting the tone defensively on the perimeter.
