Coach Scooter Lawrence has built a reputation as a winner and program builder at every stop of his career. Before taking over the Cleveland Community College Yetis women’s basketball program, he amassed an outstanding 90–7 record at the high school level, guiding his team to the 2021 state championship the first and only women’s basketball state title in Cleveland County history.

Now entering his third season at the helm of the Yetis women's basketball, Lawrence has quickly elevated the program into a contender. In just the second year of the program’s history, he led the team to a 23–6 record and a third-place finish, setting a new standard for success and competitiveness.

Known for his fast-paced, up-tempo style of play, Lawrence emphasizes speed, pressure, and energy on both ends of the floor. His coaching philosophy blends discipline with freedom, encouraging his players to play with confidence while maintaining a relentless work ethic.

With a championship pedigree and a proven record of success, Coach Lawrence continues to push the Yetis toward greater heights, building a culture of excellence, resilience, and pride for Cleveland Community College women’s basketball.
