The Cleveland Community College Yetis put together a strong stretch of play, picking up a doubleheader sweep over Brunswick Community College before splitting a road series at Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute.
Game 1: CCC 2, Brunswick 0
The Yetis opened the day with a tight, defensive battle, using timely hitting and a dominant performance in the circle to secure the shutout.
Sophia Neal led the way, tossing a complete game while allowing just four hits and striking out six to earn the win. The Yetis defense backed her effort with a clean game in the field.
At the plate, Sara Rose Warlick delivered a standout performance, going a perfect 3-for-3 and scoring both runs for Cleveland. Ryley Wheeler provided the clutch production, driving in both runs—including the go-ahead RBI in the third inning and an insurance run in the sixth. Wheeler also added a double as part of her two-hit outing.
Game 2: CCC 8, Brunswick 0 (5 innings)
The Yetis carried their momentum into game two, breaking things open early and cruising to a run-rule victory.
Cleveland jumped out with two runs in the first inning before exploding for five more in the third to take full control. The Yetis finished with eight hits and took advantage of defensive miscues to extend innings.
Zaley Packett had a big game at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI while scoring twice. Peyton Whitson added two RBIs, while Sara Rose Warlick, Savannah Holleman, and Packett each drove in runs. Ryley Wheeler and Bailey Simpson also contributed on the basepaths with stolen bases.
Neal once again handled the pitching duties, throwing five shutout innings and striking out five while allowing just three hits.
Game 3: CCC 8, Caldwell 3
On the road, the Yetis opened the series against Caldwell with an impressive offensive showing, plating eight runs in the win.
Cleveland used a balanced attack, scoring in multiple innings including a four-run sixth to pull away. The Yetis capitalized on Caldwell's defensive errors while generating consistent pressure offensively.
Game 4: Caldwell 7, CCC 3
In the series finale, the Yetis battled but couldn't contain a late surge from Caldwell, who scored five runs in the sixth inning to secure the win.
Cleveland stayed competitive early, including a two-run third inning, but ultimately fell short despite the effort.
Across the four-game stretch, the Yetis showcased strong pitching from Sophia Neal, consistent production from Sara Rose Warlick, and key contributions from Ryley Wheeler and Zaley Packett as the lineup found its rhythm.
The Yetis now turn their focus to postseason competition, as they begin tournament play on Thursday, April 30.
