The Cleveland Community College Yetis softball team delivered an impressive week on the diamond, sweeping three doubleheaders and celebrating a major milestone as head coach Ronald Beaver earned his 100th career win with the program.
March 11 Doubleheader vs. Southwest Virginia
Game 1: Yetis 8, Southwest Virginia 0
Game 2: Yetis 9, Southwest Virginia 1
The Yetis opened the week in dominant fashion, and Game 1 marked a historic moment as Coach Beaver was recognized for his 100th career victory with Cleveland.
Cleveland set the tone early, plating runs in each of the first four innings. Sophia Neal sparked the offense, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three stolen bases. Peyton Whitson added a triple and drove in two runs, while Zaley Packett contributed two RBIs on sacrifice flies.
In the circle, Brookelynn Farmer was outstanding, tossing a one-hit shutout with three strikeouts to secure the milestone win.
Game 2 followed a similar script, though Southwest Virginia struck first. The Yetis responded late with an explosive eight-run fifth inning to seal the sweep. The lineup stayed hot with 13 hits, led by multi-hit performances from Neal, Packett, Sara Rose Warlick, and Charlsey Oglesby.
Sophia Neal also dominated in the circle, allowing just two hits and one unearned run while striking out five.
March 14 Doubleheader vs. Genesee Community College

The Yetis continued their momentum with another sweep, powered by timely hitting and strong pitching.
In Game 1, Cleveland wasted no time jumping ahead, scoring in four different innings. Zaley Packett led the charge with a home run, a triple, and three runs scored. Sara Rose Warlick added three RBIs, while Bailey Simpson chipped in an RBI.
Brookelynn Farmer was again sharp in the circle, allowing just three hits over five shutout innings.
Game 2 showcased another dominant performance from Sophia Neal, who struck out seven and allowed just one hit across six innings.
Offensively, Peyton Whitson delivered a big day at the plate with three hits and two runs scored. Warlick added a home run and two RBIs, while Packett and Neal continued to produce at the top of the lineup.
March 15 Doubleheader vs. Bryant & Stratton
Game 1: Yetis 11, Bryant & Stratton 10
Game 2: Yetis 10, Bryant & Stratton 5
The final doubleheader of the week tested the Yetis, but Cleveland responded with resilience to complete the sweep.
Game 1 turned into an offensive battle, with the Yetis outlasting Bryant & Stratton in an 11-10 victory. Peyton Whitson led the offense with four hits and three runs scored, while Zaley Packett drove in four runs. Charlsey Oglesby added three RBIs, including a key extra-base hit.
In Game 2, the Yetis jumped out early and never looked back. Whitson scored four runs, while Packett tallied two hits and two RBIs. Oglesby and Allison Setzer combined for five RBIs, and Ryley Wheeler added a pair of hits.
Sophia Neal went the distance in the circle, striking out five and securing the win.
