Personal Bests Highlight Yetis Performance at Queens
Charlotte, NC -- The Cleveland Community College cross country team turned in its strongest performance of the season at the Royals XC Challenge hosted by Queens University on Friday, October 10.
Brayden Rushing led the way for the Yetis, posting a personal best time of 28:10 in the men's 8K — the fastest finish of the year for Cleveland. Teammate Eli Stroud also hit a milestone, breaking the 30-minute barrier for the first time with a 29:42 finish. In total, seven of the eight Yetis runners recorded season best times, marking a standout day of progress for the team.
On the women's side, Leilanni Delano continued to pace the Yetis, running a season best 25:47 over the 5K course.
Cleveland Community College will look to carry this momentum into its next meet when the Yetis host the Region 10 Championship on October 25. The race will take place on the North Campus course beginning at 10:30 a.m.
