Yetis Cross Country Shines at Home Invitational
The Cleveland Community College cross country team turned in an impressive performance on their home course Saturday, September 20, at the CCC Yetis Invitational. Eight Yetis runners improved their times from the season opener, showcasing steady progress and determination.
Brayden Rushing led the way with a standout performance, clocking a time of 29:55 on the 8K course. His effort earned him a podium finish, taking 3rd place overall. Teammates Elijah Stroud and Jaylon Porter also pushed into the top 10 with strong runs, finishing 5th and 7th respectively.
On the women's side, Leilanni Delano paced the Yetis, crossing the line in 19th place to secure the top finish for Cleveland.
Participating schools:
Cleveland Community College, Gaston College, Guilford College, Northeast Tech Community College, Patrick & Henry Community College, Salem College, Toccoa Falls College, Truett-McConnell University, and USC Sumter.
The Yetis will return to action on Thursday, October 3, at the Spartan Classic hosted by UNC Greensboro.
