Yetis Post Record-Breaking Performances at John Weaver Invitational
BOONE, N.C. — The Cleveland Community College Yetis track & field team delivered an impressive showing on Friday at the John Weaver Invitational, hosted by Appalachian State University, highlighted by multiple school record performances.
Jordan Marble turned in a standout sprint, setting a new program record in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.18. His performance led the way for the Yetis and showcased the team's continued progress on the track.
Elijah Stroud added another milestone to his season in the distance events, breaking the school record in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:37. Stroud's effort continues to build on an already strong year of record-setting runs.
The Yetis competed across a wide range of events throughout the meet. Jaylon Porter and Brayden Rushing represented Cleveland in both the 800-meter and mile runs, while Fred Nelson competed in the 400-meter and 800-meter races.
Chris Childs demonstrated versatility for the Yetis, competing in the long jump along with the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes.
Cleveland Community College continues to build momentum this season, with strong individual performances and record-breaking efforts highlighting the program's growth.
