Yetis Track & Field Delivers Strong Showing at Montreat Meet
The Cleveland Community College Yetis track & field team delivered another record-breaking performance at the Meet at Montreat, held Friday, March 20 at Montreat College.
Leading the way, the Yetis' 4x400 meter relay team etched their names into the record books with a new school record time of 3:43. The quartet of Jordan Marble, Chris Childs, Elijah Stroud, and Brayden Rushing combined for a strong, well-paced race that showcased both depth and determination down the stretch.
Brayden Rushing continued his standout season, breaking his own school record in the 800 meters for the second consecutive meet. Rushing clocked an impressive 2:01, continuing to raise the bar as one of the program's top middle-distance runners.
Jordan Marble also turned in a near record-setting performance in the 200 meters, finishing with a time of 23.24—just 1/100th of a second shy of setting a new school record. His sprint performance highlighted another strong showing for the Yetis on the track.
On the women's side, Alisa Powe competed in both the 100 and 200 meters, while Leilanni Delano represented the Yetis in the 400 meters, continuing to build momentum for the program.
With multiple record-breaking performances and near misses, the Yetis continue to show steady progress and competitive growth as the season moves forward.
