Yetis Men’s Basketball Caps Off Record-Setting Season with Regional Standouts
The Cleveland Community College Yetis men's basketball team put together an impressive and well-balanced 2025–26 campaign, finishing the season with a 16-15 overall record while showcasing one of the most dynamic offensive units in Region 10 Division II.
The Yetis averaged 82.9 points per game across 31 contests, fueled by efficient shooting and strong ball movement. As a team, Cleveland shot 45.6% from the floor and 35.1% from beyond the arc, while dishing out 15.5 assists per game—highlighting an unselfish, guard-driven offense that consistently created scoring opportunities.
Offensive Firepower Leads the Way
At the center of the Yetis' success was sophomore guard Kelan Flowers, who delivered a historic season. Flowers averaged 18.0 points per game—ranking sixth in Region 10—while also finishing eighth in assists with 120 on the year. His ability to both score and facilitate made him one of the most complete offensive players in the region.
Flowers also etched his name into the program record books, becoming the all-time leading scorer in school history with 773 career points, further cementing his impact on the Yetis program. His standout season earned him First Team All-Region honors.
Miles Beard provided a powerful scoring complement, averaging 15.2 points per game to rank among the top 15 scorers in the region. Together, Flowers and Beard formed one of the most effective scoring duos in Region 10.
Sharpshooter Jacob Adair added another dimension to the offense, knocking down 41.5% of his three-point attempts—good for sixth in the region—while averaging 12.2 points per game. Adair also delivered one of the most memorable performances in program history, setting a school record with 10 made three-pointers in a single game.
Dominance on the Glass
Inside, Cairo Morales anchored the Yetis with a dominant presence in the paint. Morales averaged 8.5 rebounds per game—fifth-best in Region 10—while also ranking among the top shot blockers in the region.
He capped off his season by becoming the program's all-time leading rebounder with 294 career boards and set a single-game school record with 19 rebounds, showcasing his consistency and physicality all season long. His performance earned him Honorable Mention All-Region recognition.
Depth and Playmaking
The Yetis' success extended beyond their top performers, with multiple players contributing to a balanced attack. Josh Bullock and Jamari Smith both ranked among the region's top assist leaders, combining for over 160 assists while also contributing defensively with strong steal numbers.
Cleveland's ability to distribute the basketball and involve multiple playmakers proved to be a key strength, allowing the Yetis to remain competitive in a highly contested Region 10.
A Complete Team Identity
The Yetis combined high-level guard play, efficient perimeter shooting, and a strong interior presence to form a well-rounded team. Averaging 39.3 rebounds per game and 6.0 steals per contest, Cleveland consistently found ways to impact both ends of the floor.
With multiple players earning regional recognition and several new program records set, the 2025–26 season stands as a significant step forward for Yetis men's basketball. The combination of elite individual performances and cohesive team play has positioned Cleveland as a rising contender within Region 10 heading into the future.
