Coach Grigg is entering his 4th season as Head Coach of the Yetis, his 5th season overall with the program. He currently has an overall record of 94 wins and 58 losses. In his time as Head Coach, he has coached 15 All-Region selections. In his first year as head coach, Grigg led the Yetis to a 31-17 overall record and an 18-8 record in the Region 10 West Division. The 31 wins set a new school record for wins in a single season. Also, breaking that record again this past season in 2025 with 39 wins. Over the last 5 years, 61 Yetis have moved on to play at the next level.

Prior to becoming head coach, Grigg spent the 2021-2022 season as the pitching coach for Cleveland Community College, leading them to new school records in strikeouts, ERA, and strikeouts per nine innings. In that season, 12 of Grigg’s pitchers moved on to play at the next level. Parker Kanupp was a First Team All-Region selection that year, leading the country in strikeouts.

The 2023 season was Grigg’s first year as Head Coach. He led them to 33 wins in that season, setting a new school record for wins. The Yetis also defeated Nationally Ranked #7 Florence-Darlington that year. They had 4 All-Region selections that year, and also 15 Yetis moved on to play at the next level. The team also set new school records for Stolen bases(161), Triples(21), Team ERA(4.34), and a 15-game winning streak. That year, Kael Snethen, a First Team All-Region, set new school records of 41 stolen bases and 15 doubles. Jamison Eichacker was also a First Team All-Region selection, setting a new school record of 10 wins in a single season. They had 5 All-Region selections overall. Kael Snethen and Jamisen Eichacker were First Team All-Region, Kyle Murphy was a Second Team All-Region selection, and Tyler Casciato was an All-Defensive Team selection. They finished with an overall record of 33-17 and finished 4th in the Region 10 Tournament.

In 2024, the Yetis took on the 5th most challenging schedule in the country and finished with an overall record of 25-26 and finished 5th in the Region 10 Tournament. This group set a new school record for Homeruns(47). They also defeated the #2 team in the country, Gaston College, early in the season. 11 Yetis from that team moved on to play at the next level. They also had 4 All-Region selections. Ben Hodge, Kaden Swaim, and Joel Gardner were Second Team West Division selections, and Aiden Schenck was an All-Defensive Team selection.

2025 finished up as one of the best years in school history. Grigg led the Yetis to a 39-15 overall record and also a 25-10 record in Region 10 play. The Yetis set new school records for wins(39), batting average(.311), runs scored(446), hits(507), doubles(114), stolen bases(197), and WHIP(1.52). In 2025, Yetis baseball also made history by cracking into the NJCAA Top 25 poll for the first time in school history at #21. They spent several weeks inside the Top 25 as well as several weeks in the Top 25 in other polls. The 2025 team had 1 First Team All-Region selection in Nick Morris, 2 Second Team All-Region selections with Cruise Arnold and Jackson Gowan, and 4 Second Team West Division selections with Logan Norris, Riley Stiles, Gage Doss, and Andrew Hart. 2025 saw 15 players move on to the next level.

Grigg played at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. During his time at LR, he made 27 starts on the mound and had a 13-9 overall record. He struck out 141 batters, had a 4.06 career ERA, and had a career .227 batting average against him. In 2018, Grigg earned a First Team All-SAC award. In that year, Grigg made 13 starts and had an overall record of 8-3, struck out 73 batters, with a 3.89 ERA.

Coach Grigg graduated from Burns HS in Lawndale, NC. He received a Bachelors of Sports Management and a Masters of Leadership from Lenoir-Rhyne University. Grigg and his wife, Natalyn, have one child, Gracyn, and reside in Boiling Springs.
